CAP Policy

In compliance with the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW), expired content shall not be displayed or made accessible on the Institute’s website. Accordingly, under the Content Archival Policy adopted by the Institute, all website content shall be removed from active display upon the completion of its validity period.

Content assessed to be of continuing administrative, legal, or historical importance shall be transferred to the designated Archive section of the website. In respect of Tenders and Careers, expired content shall be automatically migrated to the Archive section after twenty-one (21) days from the respective end date.

To ensure ongoing compliance with GIGW, all content shall be subject to periodic review, revalidation, and modification by the respective content owners, in coordination with the IT Section of the Institute, to ensure that outdated, expired, or redundant information is not displayed on the website. Wherever content is no longer required for public display, appropriate recommendations shall be submitted to the Web Information Manager for archival or deletion, as deemed appropriate.

Each content item shall be supported by requisite metadata, including source information and validity date. In cases where the validity period of content cannot be determined and the content is designated as perpetual, a validity period of ten (10) years shall be assigned for review and compliance purposes.

For content categories such as Announcements and Tenders, only content with a validity date later than the current date shall be displayed on the website. Other content categories, including Documents, Schemes, Services, Forms, Websites, and Contact Directory, shall be reviewed periodically in accordance with the prescribed Content Review Policy to ensure accuracy, relevance, and currency.
