Objectives of Biotechnology

Objective of biotechnology laboratory to establish and promote biotechnological applications in pulp and paper industry by undertaking R&D activities, provide technical services to paper and allied industries, skill development by way of training industry personnel and conducting dissertation project work of graduate and post graduate students.

To provide a dedicated testing facility for food packaging paper and paperboard as per the Food Safety and Standards (Packaging) Regulations 2018 (FSSAI 2018), which helps the industry to assess the quality of manufactured paper.
