The main objective of the CPPRI’s Library and Documentation Centre is to cater the information and reference needs of pulp, paper and allied industries, paper technologists, scientists and academicians, industry associations, research scholars and students etc.

CPPRI Library and Documentation Centre is using E- granthalaya (eg 4) for cataloguing of its holding and documentation activities. The Centre renders all types of library and information services to its users. The details of library services are as under:

  • Issue and Return
  • Current Awareness Services (CAS)
  • Current Content Service (CCS)
  • Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI)
  • Reference/ Referral Service
  • Reprographic Service
  • Around 8000 volumes of books, proceedings, reports, standards related to pulp & paper and allied subjects.
  • Around 40 Journals/periodicals are available in the library most of them are international.
  • Major standards like TAPPI, CPPA, APPITA, ISO, SCAN and BIS including Institute’s own Testing Methods Manual are available in the field of pulp & paper.
  • More than 400 CPPRI research reports and publications are available for reference

CPPRI Library successfully implemented  egranthalaya for its house keeping activities.
